Thumbs up

Our site will be fully launched very soon. but as i said in the begining of this thread, we never wanted to be one of those companys that makes promises we couldn't keep. Too many companies get the fevered pitch of being first out, forgeting that fulfilment has to be finalized and development needs to be complete first. (ie a nameless GPS module producer) so when you see it, you should be able to buy it! ;') We're nearing the last turn in this race though and should be giving you more that a company brochure in the next week or so. so hang tight and keep checking pdabuzz.com and visorcentral.com. There will be a write up in both upon release. Look forward to seeing you online later!

Visor cover = evil
Palm III cover = good (on a Palm III)
Palm III cover on a Visor = ugly

Now, if the Palm III-style cover for the Visor really is going to be available in Ice (for my green VDx) then that might be pretty nice. I'm curious as to how you guys are going to have these things attach, though.

Question

So, about the re-visor website. Is it ever going to be up or launched or whatever you said about it? I have been looking forward to seeing what the flip cover adapter looks like for a few weeks, and all i get is the re visor symbol and an email link. If that is what launching is, thats pretty sorry. Just my two cents

Give this guy a break!!

Everyone complains (loudly) when a vendor launches a PR push for the product before the product is available. Then, when a vendor takes a conservative approach and tells us that they don't want to start the publicity machine before the product is ready, you complain that they are taking too long!!
Pesonally I applaud this conservative approach. they let us know their plans, tell us its not ready, and when it it , they'll tell us via their website. KUDOS!

Looks that way.

Nope. I happen to like it too. But, then again I've never claimed to be normal .

Take care,

I'll put in a good word for the Visor cover - never having owned a Palm, I don't find it to be very disagreeable... and I think a flip cover would bug the hell out of me. I've got the motion of pulling the cover off and depositing it in my breast pocket or snapping it onto the back of the unit down pat... it's second nature, and I don't feel like I'm standing around with a Star Trek tricorder.

In any event, hate is a strong word - if I *did* HATE the snap-on cover, I probably wouldn't have bought a Visor.

I too like the Visor cover. I think there's a thread in the archives somewhere where a whole flock of Visor owners commented that they liked the cover.
I've sort of been keeping an eye on this thread to see a picture of a Visor flip cover but I think most owners who are satisfied with the screen cover are ignoring this thread.

Now imagine a Visor cover that could work either way: like the current cover, or like a Palm III flip cover - the best of both worlds - and you get to choose on the fly how you want to use it. Now if I could only get Handspring to be willing to look at my design - but even they seem to be ignoring this thread: and so far, no bites. M Riner

Ick I wouldnt want a flip cover. I like the current one. I especially like how you can use custom cases without having to use velcro. I hate sticking velcro to things that I handle everyday like my cd player. Sony actually expected me to velcro the player to the car. Ah. That'd be annoying when I'm carrying it.

Like I said, with my design you could still use the custom case without having to use velcro. M Riner
