Question

Ever installed an app, deleted it, and then reinstalled it some time later?

I just noticed that said apps don't go into the Unfiled program category, but BACK into whatever category I had assigned before deleting them.

This leads me to believe that somewhere in a registry-like OS preferences file, I'm slowly eating away free memory with every app I try and then discard.

Is this true? Is there a way to clear out these old, unnecessary entries? (a la RegClean for Windows)

Something like RegClean for Windows? Sure -- just pull out your batteries, let the Visor sit for a few days, and put them back in. Heck, you may even get better results than RegClean!

Cool

Usually they are put in a database called "Saved Preference". You can delete entries by using PrefEd.
