I've been using the backup module for a couple of months. Recently, whenever I do a backup, it locks the system and I have to do a soft reset.

Anyone have this problem and/or discover a fix for it?

Thanks

I've never had a "lock-up". I've been using mine since I got it way back in October.

I've been having the same problem. My biggest concern is that it is not backing up my data correctly, but I don't know how to test this. I've wondered if it's a software conflict of some sort with Launcher III. I have no hacks installed, and that's the only program I can think of that could possibly give it trouble.

I have the same problem. (I think). Sometimes when I do a backup it will lockup when it it verifying the database. Sometimes a reset will work, sometimes not. Yesterday, a reset would not work so I had to remove the module and put it back in. After that it would backup. Until the next time! What is really wired is sometimes datebook 4 will cause a fatal error. If I restore the backup and run datebook 4 again it will still have a fatal error even if, when I backed it up datebook 4 was working. I have done a hard reset and restored the data. Still datebook 4 would cause a fatal error. Whats up with that?

I've just started having this problem the last few weeks. Mine appears to be locking up at the end of the backup. I can't get the backup screen off my Visor by removing the module, shifting to another app or turning the unit off. I end up having to do a soft reset to clear the screen.

When I unchecked the box "Always use Launcher III" under the preferences, and made sure that my Visor was using the built-in launcher, I had no lock-up.

I think it gets confused on which program to return to after the backup, which causes it to freeze.
