Keyboard conversion

Hello all,

I wanted to know if the folding keyboards are all made the same. I can buy a cheap used Palm branded keyboard that was used with a Palm IIIe that bit the dust. Is it possible to replace the connector??

I have read the articles on changing the adaptor from one handspring model to another but is it possible to switch from Palm to Handspring connectors??

Thank you for your response

Jean

Well, I don't know why not...however, now that the Stowaway is built specifically for the Edge, that's really the only way to go.

The universal adapter I've built works fine for me, and kept me from having to buy a specific Edge cradle...but I built it only b/c I wanted to see if it could be done...if I hadn't done that, I'd be buying a Stowaway Edge keyboard.

The pins all serve the same function, its just a matter of putting them in the order that the unit expects.
