Exclamation Backup Module on VDX and EDGE?

Hi All,

Is it possible to backup all data on an edge, and restore on a deluxe? I was thinking it would be no problem, however, i remember that both have different OS's.

Please let me know, thank you!

The Backup Module only backs up the contents of RAM, so I think the only issue would be if any 3rd party apps are OS 3.5 dependent. The data from the built-in apps should be ok, though I'm not really sure if there are any database differences.

If you have access to the desktop and have a full backup of both units there, you can get brave and give it a try. The worst that could happen is you'll need to do a hard reset on the VDx.

Good luck. Really. It's not that I think it won't work but I think there are problems w/ backing up one unit (same family even) and restoring it to another.

Nothing ventured -- nothing gained. Go for it.
