I've never tested the avatar space's default sizing. You're alloted an image size of up to 150 x 150, or 40k. I use 150 x 112 to maintain the original image's proportions.

But once you sync, you only get the 2nd, "delayed" image.

My first piece of advice to any EM2 user is to uncheck the Confirm Before Saving option in Preferences. It's much easier to keep your hand steady and get a sharper picture, not to mention more intuitive and spontaneous, if the Eyemodule makes the exposure the instant you hit the button. I'm surprised that the confirmation is the default setting.

I do keep that un-checked, and concur w/your reasons -- but still get the delay.
It's true, since I can't get color Palm-sized images, virtually all of mine are full-sized -- I guess the delay comes from the extra time needed to process them.
I now remember (in both the b&w VDX & the color Prism) that the Palm-sized images seem to "save instantly."
Thanks all, for the misc. tips & info.

(GB70 - meant to try out the avatar thing last night, but got home too late, dead tired, slept too long, and here I am a prisoner at work again.... )

Sadly, I already paid for a Prism off an auc. site a few days ago! Now all the deals!
I may just re-sell it back to the auc. site so I can get the newly discounted VisorPhone w/the newly discounted Prism.

Anyone care to speculate on how long the "limited time only" deal is going to go on?

Not to change the subject. But I ordered the EM2.
I'm really excited! I can't wait to take some pictures. Also the rebate doesn't hurt either.

I'm pretty sure you'll be happy w/it.
I like it so much, I don't even mind having "funded" its R&D by buying the EM1 when it was $149.
I guess it's clear by now that we're never "really" buying tech. -- just "a chunk of time in history" -- before the next thing comes out!

Well I received my Eyemodule 2 yesterday.

Wow! It's really neat and small.
But I haven't really mess with it yet. I've been busy.
But I will make time tomorrow.
I've taken pictures with it and I'm very impressed with it.

Heh, thought you would be.
(Eh, you'd think I was one of the inventors, or got a profit from it or something. I wish. Maybe I can get on the EM3 dev. team?)
