I just got my visor two days ago. Everything works fine but if it sits off with no activity for over an hour I have to soft reset it. I did a hard reset this morning - hopefully that fixes the problem. Anyone lese had this problem? If it sits overnight it remembers the time but note the date?

What 3rd party software are you using ... if any? If your not using any, then I would probably backup my data and do a hard reset.

I had a problem with my Palm 1000 that was similiar to yours (back in 96). If I remember right even a hard reset didn't fix the problem, but removing the batteries for a half hour did. Never had the problem again.

I had similar issues the first day I had mine. I don't know your situation, but I traced my problems to files I had restored to my Visor from my Palm. I forgot to go into the backup directory for BackupBuddy and delete all the files I didn't want on my Visor. As a result I had to hard reset on two occasions before locating all the "bad" files. The main two culprits I believe were Palm OS update 3.1.1 and version 2.1 of daylight savings hack (dshack) (upgrading to version 2.1.1 has solved the problem).

Hope this helps! (I was really concerned also when, after having the precious Visor only a few hours, it would wake itself up to reset! Hasn't done it again since that first night though. Pheeww!)

Thanks Eric & Tyler for your input. I am using no hacks or other programs. Hard reset didn't work and it is chewing batteries so I am sending it back and they are sending a new one back within 3-4 days for $10. Hopefully this one will work.
