Gameface price reduced to $24.99

Handspring has reduced their Gameface price to $24.99. Is it worth the price?

It comes with Zap! 2000. Registered version I'd assume.

It wasn't worth the price at $40, but at $25 it's worth it. I myself love the gameface, and when I DO play non puzzle games, I'll go run upstairs to get it. It comes with a rull regged version of zap, but I beat that game.. so I don't paly it anymore.

FINALLY! This is the price I thought it should have been at when it came out.

[Followup, after reading James' news piece:]
Okay, I want the SnapNPlay instead. More buttons and no annoying joystick thing sticking up and making storage difficult.
Wonder how much.

I believe you can unscrew the joystick.

Games for the Visor are neat but how many really warrant a gamepad purchase? If I'm carrying around something like the SnapNPlay why not just bring my GBA along?

Agreed. If I ever want to play real games on the fly I would definately consider getting me a GameBoy. They aren't that expensive are they? I'd save the money spent on a silly Visor gamepad and put it towards a portable gaming machine like that.

You can get a Game Boy Color for at or less than $40 I believe. You can get a GameBoy Advane for $90.

We weren't talking specifically to you, rather the Visor Game Community as a whole. Lighten up

Rob, posting links to illegal ROMs is not allows on this board just as piracy is not. Also, the 24 hour "rule" is total BS and was made up by Warez & Emulation sites, no such law exists.

Anyways, Liberty only plays original GameBoy games, and slowly at that! (Even with an over clocker!)

Roger that. I had Liberty installed for almost an hour. The games were way too slow. On a Dlx that is anyway. I don't play games on it enough anyway to justify the valuable space being taken up.

Ark.

you people should try "palmboy" from palmgear. i like this emulator better than liberty exept that palmboy doesnt have save state and other extras like that, but the auther is nice for giving it away for free and is currently working to include save state, and configurable controls. and even on a 16mhz proccesor orverclocked to 30mhz(the max before my visor selfdestructs) the games run smoothly but i would imagine that on a platinum boosted to 54mhz the game would run just perfect or a little to fast.

Too bad though, because I have bunch of gameboy cartridges, and my gameboy busted long ago. It seems Id' be within my rights to play them on my visor. But I can never find any sites with my games on them, because to most, they'd be warez.

All I want to do is play mario 2.

Also, is it just me, or does anyone else find zap 2000 to be too frustratingly difficult to be fun?

And finally, so I can remain on topic, I should say that the gameface should have been 24.95 all along, and then be discounted to 15$.
