Unhappy Hagiwara 8mb Module Problem

I have had problems with three different 8 mb flash modules on my Prism. The first two from PalmGear, their branded modules, crashed after a fatal alert with another fatal alert, "DataMgr. c, Line 3362, Null dbID passed." I recently got a replacement Hagiwara module from PalmGear and today just got the same error. I know if I remove the module that I will be able to access the Prism's internal memory but most likely the module will be toast. Why is this happening? I never store anything but applications on the module - no data. Are there ways to recover from such a problem? How can I stop this from happening in the future? Thanks for any help!
