I think so

It should not be all that difficult. Just use the same code base you have for your AvantGo channel. Yet I would prefer, if I had the OmniSky, to browse via the AvantGo browser and not PQAs. I can understand why Palm did the PQA like they did in the beginning, but the whole concept of installing an application just to view a web page is cumbersome.

Unhappy Omnisky Unstable

From my experiance the Minstrel S works great, but the software omnisky packaged with it is very unstable and grabs alot of memory for applications that I don't use or wouldn't even use if they worked. Using the omnisky software I have to put up with my system freezing or auto-resetting every one or two minutes. It has even wiped my Visor Prism 3 times. How I have been able to get around the above problems is That I have been using the PalmScape browser, Yahoo Messanger, and OS Mail only. By doing that I have not had any more crashes and am actually enjoying it quite a lot. I have tried working with OmniSky support to figure out how to remove the apps from my Prism, but the most they will tell me is how to disable the ScoutSync conduit.

I would be very interest to hear other users opinions on the Omnisky Service.

What is a PQA

I am relatively new to the wireless internet realm. What is a PQA and is this important to the use of regular websites?

I thought I had heard that the Minstrel was to have 2 meg of memory on board to hold the software for browsing. Is this not the case?

Thank You

Minstrel S

The minstral has about a meg flash but it is used in omniskys case to store the install apps and some special drivers. All of which get installed to your Visor the first time you attach it in.

As for PQA (aka Web Clipping Apps) they are some sort of special Proxy App designed to access a specific site. See http://www.palm.net/apps/index.html for more info and exsisting PQA Apps.
