Question

I have a Visor Deluxe and want to sync up e-mail into my Palm. I use Outlook Express 5.5. When I try to set Outlook Express as my e-mail in HotSync settings it tells me that I need to set Outlook Express as my "Default MAPI client". I have Outlook Express set as my default e-mail, but there is NO option for MAPI, not even found in the help file for Outlook Express.

Does anyone use Outlook Express for mail? How do you do it? What version of Express do you use?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ignore the instructions that says to set OE as your default MAPI client.

Just make sure your installation of Outlook Express is set as the default mail client/mailer/mail handler.

Being a bit more specific on MAPI defaults: the way you set your default MAPI mail client in WIndows (most versions) is to open the Control Panel called Internet Options. Select the tab Programs and ensure that the setting for email (usually the second drop down list) is set to Outlook Express. Whatever program is selected in this drop down is your MAPI email client. If OUtlook Express does not appear here for any reason you probably need to reinstall it.
