Unhappy contrast change

Recently the contrast on my Visor DLX has needed to shift to about 80% for the screen
to be comfortably legible. It used to be set at around 40%. Unit hasn't been dropped
and there haven't been any recent files hotsync'd on.

Any ideas why it would do this...and if this portends bad things for the future?
(Sign of the Apocalypse #8: my visor screen breaks down; thanks a lot.)

This seems to happen quite a bit to me as well. A reset will usually put it back to normal. I'll just adjust it and live with it until my next reset happens.

No such luck with the reset. Changing batteries doesn't help either.
Any other ideas? Anyone? Anyone?

By any chance are you using AfterBurner hack? I had this same problem and thought my visor was going kaput. I somehow stumbled upon the answer in the Handspring support pages. It was AfterBurner. I made a few tweaks to the Afterburner configuration (after I finally read the manual, doh! ) and managed to get the contrast problem resolved. Hope this helps!
