Question

Okay my I've had my Prism for a bit now...I had to return three for various reasons, mainly battery life. So how long does the internal Prism battery supposed to last? I'm getting about 3 hours continuos use...is this good or bad?

Matt

Arrow my take

It all depends on what you do in those 3 hours. normally it should last about 5 - 6 hours continously. Of course graphic intensive apps such as games and processor intensive files will make the batteries die faster.

So I guess I'm not insane...the batteries don't last all that long. Have you tried the supplemental battery packs/chargers?

I find that the battery life is most dependant on the brightness setting. I try to keep it as dim as I can, especially in the evening. This seems to greatly enhance the life.

I also find that if I charge it every time I'm near the desktop and not using it it stays up.

One more thing-I don't know why- once in a while the battery will begin to drain at a much faster rate. I find that if I do a warm reset and then charge to full it corrects this. (Warm reset = hold down scroll up while pin reset.

My $0.02.

I have heard reports of 04 Hours being typical. If you are running yours with a slightly brighter screen I could see getting only 03 hours.

There are some battery packs out there that will charge your Prism when away from the cradle, though I have tried none of them. Here are some links to a couple.
