Question

The following is a message I sent to a VisorCentral staff member. He suggested that I post it here.
-----------------------------------------

Have you heard any reports of people having problems with Intellisync and USB Hotsyncing after installing the Office 2K update? The update itself went just fine. (I'm using Win98SE) Once Win98 starts and I try to hotsync the system will hang or give me a Fatal exception error, after which I have to reboot. But if I first open the Intellisync manager then close, then do a hotsync all is well. Kinda weird. I've been USB hotsyncing since 12/99 using Intellisync without a problem until now. I'm wondering if downloading the updated hotsync software from Handspring will do any good. Since the Office 2K update suppose to provide improved Win2k functionality, even though I don't have Win2k, I'm wondering if the problem is somehow related.

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Lightbulb

It seems that the Office 2K update crippled my HotSync software. I uninstalled the Palm Desktop software, downloaded and installed the updated software from Handspring and now I'm back in business.
