Question

I was just over at the Hanspring site, because I'm contemplating purchasing the Platinum. I think it's going to be worth the extra $50, just for the resolution. I found the "regular" Visor to be a bit hard to read at times. Anyway, in the Q&A section it says that you should only use alkaline batteries. Is this true? I just purchased a battery charger with NiMH batteries. I don't want to hear that they won't be good for the Visor, but I'd sure like to know that before I deep-six the unit out of ignorance. Thoughts, anyone?

I've been using NiMH's in my Deluxe for months with no problem. OS v3.1 doesn't directly support NiMH's but I believe 3.5 does. Try searching for some of the battery discussion's...

Mark's right. I use (and love) them too.

To re-emphasize Mark's suggestion, search Visor Central forums (not the website search at the top of the page) for NiMH. There's lots of discussion, almost all good.
