Post Moisture Pak

Hi All,
I keep some small ink writing notes in
my Visor case and have certainly notice
some of the ink on my papers is beginning
to smear from moisture. Would it be a good
idea to use one of those "moisture paks" found
in some product packages in my case?
I can't think of what they're really call?
I could slip one of those things down one
of the card pocket in my case to control the humidity.
Maybe this is a good tip to pass along to all PDA users?

The small packets are usually a silica gel or similar product, and have a relatively limited lifespan- once they get sufficiently 'wet', they will stop working.

I would wonder why there is enough moisture to create the problem in the first place. If it is environmental humidity, then you would probably want to create a dryer 'micro-climate' for your PDA.

If it is because you carry the PDA in your pants, then you may want to either re-think that technique, use a different case, or go to pencil or an ink that is less susceptible to moisture.

Another direction is different kinds of dryine material. Dry rice makes a good de-humidifier, and might work wel enough to see if your ideas will work in real life.
