Ever happened to you?

I have had intermittent trouble with my plat lately. Today when I turned it on, the screen came up, then when I pressed the down button, it blanked out. I turned it off then on again and it came up, but the screen was a little blurry. I pressed on the screen with the sylus and it blanked out again. I changed the batteries and have no prob now. The other day, I couldn't get the contrast right. Does anybody have any idea what this could be? I would appreciate some help. Thanks
