Has anyone tried out the VisorPhone case from Vaja with a Sprint PCS Digital Link module? This case seems to be the best one out there, but I'd rather not spend the $80 if the fit is different.
The review on this site indicated that there may be problems with using VP cases with the DL ... because the headset jack was in a different location. However, based on the pictures of the Vaja VP case, this doesn't appear that it would be a problem. I'm just wondering if the dimensions of the DL and VP are identical. If so, it should work...

I bought this case but sent it back. It fits ok, but the Digital Link is wider than the Visor Phone so the straps at the top of this case get stretched a bit. In order to use this case with the charging cradle you have to take it off your Visor. The case has an opening on the bottom to use with the travel charger and/or USB cable, but it does have to be removed to use the cradle - I was afraid that the leather would stretch too much if I did this too often. It was a little difficult to get the stylus out of the Visor, at least in my case. And the opening on the bottom was a little small and it was difficult to get the cable to stay connected while charging overnight. My only other major complaint is that the vibrator on the Digital Link doesn't seem to be strong enough to get my attention when on a clip - I'd much prefer a (non-removable) clip that goes over my belt (like on the Targus leather case, though this one isn't for a module like the VP or DL) that would allow the vibration to transfer to my body a little better and I'd know when I was receiving a phone call (I may be in a minority, or even alone on this one though...)

Is it difficult to get the Visor+DL in and out of this case? I don't think I'd mind removing it from the case to set it in its cradle overnight.
How was the fit, otherwise? The dimensions listed for the VP and the DL are different enough that it makes me worry -- especially the depth measurement.

If it's any help, I use the Magellan GPS Companion, the MiniJam, and the Visorphone with my Prism in my Vaja case. It's supposed to be for just the VisorPhone, but it accommodates the other modules fine. With the GPSC, I can't close the cover obviously, but it works with the larger-than-the-VP backing of the GPS module.
Getting it in and out of case is a snap.

I think it's easy enough getting in and out of the case, but I'd worry about the "straps" on the top stretching and wearing thin - especially with how often you'd do it with the Prismthe construction is pretty good though so it'd take a while for the straps to wear out (and it could totally be something not to worry about at all - it just concerned me enough to send it back.
If I had a Visor that didn't have to recharge I most likely would've kept it.
BTW - I was told my Vaja Cases that they have no plans to make a Digital Link specific case (at least at the present.)

I spoke to EBCases this afternoon and they sort of said the same thing.
They are waiting to see if there is a demand for the Digital Link case before they will start thinking about it.
I hope more people will call/e-mail either one of these companys and get them off the ball and come up with a solution.
