Question VDX Automatically Turning On

This morning I noticed my Visor Deluxe was turning itself on automatically. I've been watching it since and it's turning on every hour, on the hour. The last things I've installed are an upgrade to Planetarium and Niggle. It also turns itself on a couple of minutes after every hotsync, but it's been doing that for quite a while.

Any help would be appreciated!

Steve

It's Runtime

I got to thinking and figured it was probably Runtime. I set the interval time to 5 min and it started turning on every 5 minutes. So, I've set it up to 8 hrs. I hate to do that because if you do a reset, you lose the time in that interval. Hopefully Runtime will be fixed.

Anyone use another program that will keep track of on time?

Thanks!

What you are seeing is a "silent alarm" to wake up and do some processing. I don't think there is any way to fix it, without the OS being rearchitected to allow things to run in the background without interfering with the foreground application that may be running.

You may search in the archives and find something about this and BackupBuddy. BB has a feature that can sync the clock with your pc. It does this via a similar silent alarm about a minute or so after the hotsync finishes.
