Unhappy Replacement cable for Thinmodem+?

Trying to find out where I can buy a replacement cable for my Thinmodem +. The Card Access website says that Amazon sells them. Amazon says they don't have any stock. Any ideas?

Exclamation Yipes!

I thought that when I bought my TM+ new that the extra dongles where only like $5, not $14.99!

I am also interested in a source for the cables, as I broke the little plastic tab that that retains the RJ-11 plug into the wall on the stock cable. Everthing still works, its just that the cable come loose from the wall outlet very easliy.

It would appear that the only places I can find it for sale are either Amazon or Amazon Affiliates.

Heck, at $14.99 + shipping I may buy a cheap crimping tool and just re-terminate the cable.

Got this response from the folks at CardAccess:

Currently, the only place to get the cable that we manufacture is
through Amazon.com.

With the exception of the 4" Telephone Accessory cable, these cables are not proprietary Thinmodem cables. There are other, less expensive places to buy these same cables. These cable have what is called a JAE connector (the thin one) that connects into the top of the modem. This is the same connector that you can find in PCMCIA Laptop modems. In fact, all Laptop modem
cards used this type of connector before the X-jack was so widely available.

You should be able to find these cables in electronics stores that sell Laptop modems. They would probably just be referred to as "modem cables".

If you can not find them at a regular electronics store, then you
should be able to find one at RadioShack.

Thanks,
