Here is how you can read MJFS formatted MMC cards.

How much you want to do is dependent upon your abilities.
Source code is c,c++,& Perl and to be compiled under linux.

-> http://sourceforge.net/projects/mj-tools/ <-

I have compiled the code and used the following readers.
ZIO (MMC Reader)
(not a speedloader ,No Special Firmware required)
PQI TravelFlash (SM,CF,MMC/SD Reader)
(not a speedloader ,No Special Firmware required)
other adapters should work for this software as long as they comply to the UMSDS (USB Mass Storage Device Specifications.)
I can read and write to the mjfilesystem using this software.
I did not write this software, I may decide to re-write this as a Java version that could run on MAC & PC, If I have the time.

If you look at their public forum for this you can see that Vaporgear's (Innogear's) tech support director (at least claims to be) asks the developer of this software to develop an OS X version for the Minijam. They made the product and they can't even write their own software?

Here's the quote:

I do have one move question for you...
Would it be possible for you to compile this as a OS X executable / installable for our Mac OS X customers. (Based on the fact that OS X is just a fancy version of BSD).

And the link (scroll all the way to the bottom)

I recently got a MiniJam for my Visor Prism, and while I like it, I don't like the insanely slow transfer speeds.

I already own an MMC card reader, so I don't feel I should spend even more to get the Speedloader. However, the card reader does not work with MJFS formatted MMC's.

Is anyone out there working on adding Mac OS X support so that I can use my MMC reader to read/write MJFS formatted MMC's?

I've also found that I can't even use Classic to transfer music to my Visor via the USB cradle (I have to reboot completely into OS 9 to get it done)...as such I may need to sell/return my MiniJam if I can't find a better solution.

Can anyone help??
