It is obvious from the posts here that there are just too many of us that are getting cracked cases. Does anyon know of a manufacture of those Nokia faceplates that we can get in touch with to start cranking out replacement case tops? An American Flag top made out of a tougher plastic would be too cool. And who would worry about warranties, we could always replace the broken one if it had to go back.

I think this is an instance of Handspring not seeing a market, and selling us case tops. I think that whatever reason for the case cracks, not selling us a five or ten dollar part but trying to get us to cough up $85 is silly. Make some other colors, new patterns.

I did see someone who made a palm case out of Legos. That may be something to try, since Legos are practically indestructable.

And you could make a transforming Visor. "Now it is a Visor, Now it is a robot, Now it's an aircraft carrier!"

I would like a replacement case too. I want a rubberized case that provides some shock protection and it would be a real plus if it offered a bit of water repellancy. I picture something like the rubberized housing of my GPS unit.

hey, it even has the buttons!

Not that it'll help if the board contacts are worn out, but anyway ...
