Palm Desktop 4.1 out / may work with other PDAs

First, PalmInfoCenter has announced that Palm has released a new Palm Desktop 4.1 app for Windows with interesting new features.
Further down in the article are comments from a couple of Clie users that they've gotten it to work with their Clies. If I read their instructions right, sounds as if you install the Palm version, then re-install the Clie Desktop, and everything works fine.
Haven't tried it yet -- this weekend, maybe, if I get time.
