Cool

Well, my personal feeling is that if you take a wait and see attitude, you will forever be waiting for the "latest and greatest."

More to the point is: Are the added features of the Platinum worth the money I'll spend?

Of course it will be a bonus if you manage to sell your old Solo to recoup some of the investment.

well yeah, my mom will take it off my hands for $130 as long as i help her with it =).

i could get a plat for $260- 130= 130 more to spend. I need the extra space, i got down to around 20 k, had to delete a bunch of apps and such.

Cool

If money is an issue, consider the lower cost alternatives:

  • Get the 8 meg flash ram module. Then you'll have 10 megs of RAM for about $80.
  • Get a Visor Delux. Then you'll have 8 megs of RAM for $250 - $130 = $120.

I was under the impression that the Platinum was $300, but if you've found a cheaper place, go for it.

well i was considering the 8 mb springboard, but for it i was hoping to keep a dictionary and or mapopolis map.... and then i read programs must be installed on the visor previously then moved to the 8 meg... so basically no progs over maybe 1.7 if i delete just about everything...

and in the long run im looking for something to basically be able to hold everything.... so i want an 8 meg visor.... then if i need i can snap in an 8 or 16 mb flash if i need it later on...

so ive found that i cant upgrade to OS 4.0 on plat... bummer... but i think i might still go with that... yeah... thers a cupon for $40 off at staples... so $260
