This really isn't a Visor-specific EasySync problem, but it might help others who were looking at EasySync as a Notes/Palm synching solution.

As an IBM employee, I have access to pretty much any piece of Lotus software that I need (at no cost), so I decided to install EasySync on my office workstation. The plan was that when I was in the office, I would sync with my Notes Mail, Address Book, and Calendar. When I was at home, I would sync with Netscape Messenger for mail, and then leave the rest to Palm Desktop.

The problem is that with EasySync, you CAN'T do this. EasySync actually takes over your Palm data with some kind of odd formatting, so that attempting to sync with workstation conduits OTHER THAN the EasySync conduits will fail.

Bottom line is that if you want to sync with more than one workstation, and not neccesarily with Lotus Notes 100% of the time, DO NOT purchase EasySync. Go for the Python Conduit (which I plan on purchasing; www.gc.com) or IntelliSync (www.pumatech.com) instead.

I use Pylon with Notes at work--it's great! And I synch with the Palm desktop at home.

FYI, I don't yet have a Visor. I am considering getting one, and giving my husband my IIIx (he has my old Professional with the beaming 2MG upgrade right now.) I'm monitoring current owners' thoughts about the Visor and will probably make a decision once I hear there is less of a backlog. Also, TRG is offering a handheld with Palm OS that is geared more towards business users. See their website at www.trgnet.com
