I mostly use it for
1) contacts
2) checkbook register (ultrasoft money)
3) movielistings: (showtimes0.4)
4) tvlistings

I still can't do Graffiti fast enough to make writing useful for me, so my vdx is just going to provide information in the meatime.

Gee, I can't get the top three uses, these are the things I use it most for:

1. Keep track of appointments/to do's.

2. Keep track of billable time with Punch Clock

3. Contact list.

4. Balance checkbook with MyCheckBook.

5. Web content with AvantGo.

6. Keep track of shopping lists with HandyShopper.

Top three? That's difficult, but here it is:

1) Manage my life
2) AvantGo - I'm a tech writer, so keeping updated with the latest tech news is important to me
3) OmniRemote - works better on the Visor than on any Palm, with its enhanced infrared range.

I have a daily ritual around my Visor. I sync in the morning..

1. Play Jeopardy 2000 (AvantGo Channel)
2. Check my datebook for any important happenings
3. Review AvantGo for misc news
4. After stowaway comes out, use the unit for note taking in class @ school...
5. play the occasional game...

I do much the same, but I also use the TealGlance hack. With it, every time you turn on your Visor, it pops up today's appointments and your top items on your To Do list. (you can set it so it won't pop up if the last time you turned on your Visor was within ten minutes)
I put my wife's birthday in as an appointment on that day, and put a floating appointment two weeks ahead of time to remind me to purchase a birthday present. I use a floating appointment so it will persist until I've purchased the present and checked it off.
Wives get real testy if you forget their birthday. TealGlance will keep me out of the doghouse.

I have a terrible memory for appointments and keeping track of peoples phone numbers so the Visor saves my life on a daily basis. I use it mostly for its contact management abilities and a few litlte games here and there.

2. Project management (todo list)

3. Note taking at meetings. Unfortuneately I run the meetings so I can't play BSBingo.

My Visor is the third lobe of my brain. The one that can keep track of time and tell me (hey, quit hacking, you gotta go pick up the kids from Karate) and (didn't you put a TV dinner in the microwave 6 minutes ago?) and (your cellphone number is 1-800-HOT-SEXY).

Actually, that last one's a lie. You think I'm goinna tell you all my cellphone number?

I've only had my smokin' bVDx about 10 hours now, but here are my initial plans:
1. PIM-appointments, to do, address/phone#'s
2. definitely wanna try AvantGo or similar Web content
3. Just got Stephen King's Riding the Bullet - if I like the format, some more e-books
4. Fun stuff-sun compass, games, IRchat during meetings....
Any recommendations & newbie advice welcomed!

1). to do list
2). AvantGo
3). Mass Distribution of grayscale gay porno
4). Keep track of all my Hoes
5). Stashing crack in the springboard slot
6). Pimp Slap my hoes with it
7). Two Word: Red Pancakes
8). Las salchichas esta mas intellegente que la mantequilla
9). Visor = Orginization which leads to organized crime
10). I throw it at peoples heads when they piss me off. Then i write to visor saying it just broke for no good reason and they send out a new one, which I promptly throw at someone else's head. I've done this 12310 times within the last 6 weeks. You'd be surpirsed at the damage a flying visor can inflict on the unprotected head.

As you can see, I couldn't live without my Visor!
