Question

I don't know if this a Palm Desktop problem or a problem with my LAN, but if anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate them.

I am on a secure LAN system that uses NT. I got an administrator in and installed Palm Desktop software and while he was here and I was working on my notebook alone, it worked fine, synched with Outlook, ran Backup Buddy okay. I was happy.

Then the administrator closed the trapdoor and left. When I later signed on the LAN and tried to access Palm Desktop, it does't work and I get an error from it saying:

invalid configuration: terminating the Palm Desktop

Without the desktop, I can't synch or download anything. Actually it will briefly synch now, it doesn't error out, but it doesn't actually do anything. It appears that if I can get access and use my notebook as a stand alone it works fine, but once it meshes with the LAN - no dice. My computer people can't figure out what the problem is and I don't know much about the technical side of LANs and NT.

Any thoughts?

Red face

Oops,

It looks like someone may have already answered this problem already, cornwall's Hotsync Problems with NT 4. I will have to get an administrator and see if we can make it work. If not I will be back.
