I am just curious: What kind of memory does a Visor use? Such as SRAM, DRAM, SDRAM? On PCs the cache is usually SRAM but I would't think a Visor would need much of a cache.

My understand it that the Visors use Self Refreshing Dynamic RAM. The 8MB DRAM issue that effect Visors Deluxe's shipped between Jan 2000 and Jun 2000 and Palm Vx's IIIxe's and IIIc's built around Oct 1999 to May of 2000 was due to a faulty Self-Refreshing circuit of the memory chips. The patch enabled the refresh circuit built into the CPU.
