Voicestream is so bad: when can I get competition?

I have so many complaints about Voicestream customer service, it is hard to know where to begin. Latest: I call in with a support problem. I leave my office phone #. The Tech calls back on my cell phone, leaves a voicemail--and btw i don't get an SMS telling me about the message for about 5 hours--and then when I call back to talk to a tech about some of the cryptic comments, the Voicestream CSR supervisor no less won't even put me through to a tech, saying the cryptic voicemail answers all questions and it's Handspring's fault! (NOT!)

Frankly, using voicestream leaves me red faced and infuriated. I cannot stand them. I can't stand their incompetence, their attitude, their stubbornness, their inability to get up to speed on the products I'm using that they are supposed to work with.

So, ignoring idividual incidents, let's deal with a more important matter: when the hell do we get some competition? In my area, NO ONE else supports VisorPHone. I might add, after over a decade with AT&T I not only never had a complaint, but got every request immediately and correctly handled.

I had to fire them to sign on with Voicestream.

Let me bang my head against the wall a few more times.

It might be a while but AT&T should eventually get their network converted over to GSM so whenever that happens, I guess you'll have an alternative. If you don't mind forking over a couple hundred, you can switch over to Sprint and use the Air Prime Digital Link. You'll get 3G compatibility and more network coverage as well.
