Unhappy Help. Installed New Memplug and Lost all data

I can finally post this message b/c I found my password. This weekend I purchased a Memplug and 32 meg Kingston flash card. Installed the flash card and Memplug into my VDX no problem. Moved files, did back up, built files etc. Not once over Sat and Sun did I check date book, address, memos, to do. Sun night I check to see what was on Mon schedule to find out that all my resident data was missing. Aaarrgh.

So I restored the back up from the flash card only to find out that all the resident data was not on the card. I restored the backup to my back up VDX no data. I did back up to my lap top, no avail. I tried to sync to my desk to in the office and the sync proceeded as though all the data was there but still no data. Wrote pitech support X2 no response. After several soft resets and attempts at syncing and playing with the syncing parameters nothing. I resorted to a hard reset. Aaarrgh.

Synced my desk top and everything is back but my memos. Oh well, a small price to pay for setting my sync commands to not save memos. Then I installed the Memplug and did a back up. Then I restored the backup from the Memplug to my back up VDX and still no date book, no address book, no memos, and no to do.

This is a lot of work trying to restore data that when I should be enjoying the fact that all my data, almost a full 8 meg, is safe and secure on a flash card.

Any ideas? Is it the idiot user? Is it the Memplug? Is it the card?
