Angry

After my recent attempt to purchase a Memplug(I ended up cancelling the order), a previously aborted attempt to buy hardware, as well as the recent grumblings about service; am I wrong in boycotting Palmgear? Though I am 0 for 2, are these flukes? They seem to have a lock on several springboards as well as some expected ones(Nxist), and are we just going to have to get used to getting dicked around? Just wondering.

Personally, I'm with you about boycotting. We however won't see any change in their business practices unless we can find someone to finance importing these devices from overseas. I notice Amazon seems to be announcing them and maybe if everyone starts ordering "pre-release" items that don't have ship dates Amazon will notice.

If someone out there wants to import them I've got server space..

Rolling the dice with PalmGear hasn't gotten us good results. Maybe we'll try another dealer..

Beside their site being slow at times, I have had no problems with them. I have placed two orders (one for the MemPlug) and have been happy both times. I can symothize with you being frustrated, especially since they seem to have the bundled MemPlugs and the cards are severly overpriced. I ordered mine about week after they were released and they were backordered at the time. I ended up recieving the module a few days before they promised them.

Have you contacted PI? If so, what was their response? I would think with the current battle over module based memory and the eminant release of springboard CF card, they would want to make sure their product is flooding the market.

Does PalmGear have some sort of exclusive with PI?

Smile No complaints

I've had no problems with Palmgear. I recently ordered the SoundsGood module, when they dropped the price. All went quite smoothly. It shipped the same day I ordered it, and arrived 2-3 days later by USPS Priority Mail. I returned it because of a perceived defect (at PG's suggestion), and the replacement shipped back the same day they received the original. Their tech/cust support was responsive and helpful (even though the first information they gave me turned out not to be entirely accurate, it was understable as the problem was confusing and their error was generous in my favor). Last year, I ordered a case and stylus, and all went smoothly then as well.
I wonder whether the problems others are having are due to circumstances unique to particular modules?
