Question

As i was playing around with the visor, i couldnt help but notice that the backlighting was oppposite than that of my palm proffesional. I mean to say that everything becomes inverted when the backlight is on, as opposed to my palm prof which lit up everything. Is this a change that is unique to the visor? is this somrething in the hardware os is there some sort of setting to change it to light up like my palm pro?

Lightbulb

dov,

The backlighting is something that changed with the Palm V and VII. As you alluded to, it is called inverted backlighting. Instead of backlighting the entire screen, this new backlight lights only the dark pixels of the screen. This is "supposed" to be more effective and battery efficient.

A number of people DETEST the inverted backlight. As such, there are numerous hacks out there to reverse the inverted backlight. See www.daggerware.com to learn more about hacks and Hackmaster if you don't know about them. The one I'm running is called Greenlight hack. However, I know of at least two others out there.
