Thumbs up Next release of Action Names will support VisorPhone dialling

This was just confirmed in the Action Names 5.0 Beta Forum.

For those of you who have a VP and were wondering what 3rd party apps you'd be able to dial from...

check out the AN forum at www.iambic.com

(though the currently available beta does not have this function in it so don't download yet if you're only keen on that function).

PhoneMate already dials using the Visorphone.

It's not, however, a replacement for the Phone application.

Is ActionNames going to dial out, or to receive the calls as well?

The problem with PhoneMate now is that dial out is easy. The Phone application however does not "know" about this call in progress, and has no control over the VP, therefore. If you press the Phone button, it'll show the Phone app, ready to dial. Of course, if you try and dial you have a problem. The only way to end the call is turning the VP off.

If you look closely, you can assign an application to handle the Phone, SMS and Email (go to Addressbook, Options, Dial Preferences.

The ideal would be a Phone replacement. Outdial is already possible, but conflicts with the VP software...
