I just bought the thinmodem and am trying to connect with Worldnett ATT service. I set up the preferences on the network settings according to Thinmodem instructions but when I dial in it never answers. I've tried several different numbers and none work. When I dial the same number from my desktop it connects, no problem. What am I doing wrong?

Are you sure the Thinmodem is actually dialing? Recheck the Modem Preferences, especially the modem string (which should be AT&FX4) and verify that TouchTone is selected. Also, when you insert the Thinmodem into the Visor, do you hear the confirmation "beep-up"? Try removing and reinserting it. If all this doesn't help, my next step would be to confirm that that modem is really dialing out. Since you said the number works from the desktop, I'd suspect that the Thinmodem is not dialing for whatever reason.
