Cool

This was a weird problem. Not especially damaging, but odd.

One find day I noticed something subtly different about my Visor:

The AvantGo icon is normally a road surrounded by a speckled checkerboard circle. But it was now a road inside a solid gray circle.

In HackMaster, the plus and check mark icons were garbage.

In Diddle, the pictures were messed up. Specifically, each picture appeared as three 1/3rd size copies side by side.

A soft reset fixed the problem.
Now, I've seen the 3 image problem elsewhere. It happens when you have an image designed for one graphic mode displayed in the incorrect mode. It would happen if a 1 bit b/w image was displayed by software expecting 2 or 4 bit images.

All I can figure is that some program or other changed the graphic mode on my Visor, and it stuck.

Anybody else have a problem like this?

When I use the standard interface, my Avantgo icon has the checkerboard background. When I use SilverScreen (greyscale launcher), it has a grey background. I guess Avantgo supplied icons for both monochrome and greyscale. I'm not sure if this applies to your problem, though.
