Rhinoskin...Babyskin is more like it!

Let's begin at the beginning when I purchased the following:

Rhinoskin Shocksuit Sportcase
(1) Sportcase Black
Total $41.95

This case had great hype, glowing reviews, and a "looks great in a Web photo" design. Well, five months after my purchase and the Rhinoskin Shocksuit Sportscase is nothing more than a painful reminder of what not to purchase on the web. The Velcro strip on the cover separated the second day. The sides of the case showed movement away from the plastic face frame within the first month. The case separated fully from the plastic frame after four months. My usage was typical of any office jockey. My problem was that I picked a lame horse to ride...and it's Rhinoskin coming around the first bend and she throws her saddle, cripples her jockey and falls asleep in the middle of the fast track. The bottom line...a bad purchase from a company with NO customer service. Delight the customer...how about disgust the customer!!!

What would be the perfect case for you, then?

Sorry to hear of your troubles. My ShockSuit is working like a champ after a few months (is it May already? Wow). Yes, the Velcro peeled away almost instantly, but I added a little dab of super glue and it hasn't moved a bit.

My only casualty has been the belt clip. Being a, um, rather, um, robust individual, rather than attach it to my belt (where the fat is), I clip it onto the front pocket of my jeans. This leads to being pressed against the steering wheel when I get out of the car, and if I pass a desk to closely, my Visor will catch on the edge. After flying apart and being glued back together a half-dozen times, the clip gave up the ghost. Luckily, it is the same standard belt clip used for cell phones, and it was easy to pick up a replacement.

The rest of the case is fine after repeated dropping (most unintentional). So rather than a global "Shocksuits suck", it could be "your mileage may vary". Mine is certainly a good, solid case that has done everything advertised.

I agree with jlamo 100%. What a piece of junk.
