Question

I finally had my first hard reset! ARG! Thank goodness I had recently purchased BackupBuddy.
I had just installed the Tinysheet conduit and was going to hotsync to try it out. I pushed the hotsync button and waited. Nothing happened so I tapped the cancel button. This has happened a few times before but I've always been able to fix it by restarting the hotsync manager or soft reset. I exit and restart the hotsync manager and try to hotsync again. My Visor flashes on for a second then off. I do a soft reset but it comes back with the setup routine, meaning everything is gone. Great. After restoring (from my computer at work) I check the hotsync manager conduits and hit done. From this point on the hotsync manager doesn't respond and has to be killed from the task manager. I can restart it and check the log (only info on the hotsync before the problem) with no problems but if I look at the conduits (custom) it freezes after I hit "done". I've uninstalled the tinysheet conduit but this hasn't helped. Any ideas?
I'd like to reinstall the hotsync manager but can't figure out how to uninstall it first. Do I have to uninstall the Palm desktop and reinstall it to do this?
Any help would be greatly appreciate!!

Steve

Hotsync

Hi Steve,
I had a similar hotsync problem. I would press the hotsync button and get no response. I fiddled with it for a long time only find a simple fix. I unplugged the USB cable from the back of the computer and plugged it into the neighboring USB slot. My Visor USB cable seems to have a little bit of a looser fit than my other USB devices. Hopefully this will help you but it sounds like you have a more complex problem. Good luck.
