This appears to be the perfect thread to say...

Well, months after I posted here, the '93 Dodge Caravan is up for sale. I just put my deposit on a Audi TT Quattro Roadster!!!!!!

Lake Silver Metalic with Aviator Gray leather interior and black ragtop. I should pick it up in about two weeks. I'll try to post a picture as soon as I can.

This isn't MY new car, but it is the same year, model and color. When I finally do pick mine up, I'll try to post an actual photo (s) of it.

Man - I can't wait to get it; should be in about 1 1/2 weeks.

I tried to put a photo in but can't seem to do it. Any help would be appreciated

OK - I figured out, at least how to post the picture as my avatar.

I'll still post the true picture when I get the car and if and when someone can give me directions as to how to post a picture in my message.

2001 Nissan Sentra SE (Subaru's are sweet! We were going to buy an Outback Sport but they were sold out in BC, so opted for this one).

Sorry to hear that. They definitely have personality. Subaru does things their own way, from the frameless windows, to the lights which are switched with the ignition to the puttering sound the boxer engine makes. Fun cars.

I agree, it's the little things that make the Subaru's nice...
Ever noticed that the petrol Gauge allways works (so you dont have to turn on the ignition to see how much petrol you have)
Also I like the clever arm rests in the Forrester...
And don't forget about the million storage compartments..

_My_ car

Might as well post here - nothing to do.

1984/5 1.8L Honda Accord Sedan EX with everything except the kitchen sink. About a billion miles on the odometer by now.

Japanese version with wraparound headlights, unlike the uglier headlight American versions I've seen.

WOW! That's -- AMAZING! I mean, my Accord does that too, perhaps even topping 150km/h! And it's automatic!

Seriously, I assume you mean fastest accelaration times to 140 km/h in 3rd? Or is it in MPH?

My conversions skills from Km/h to mph are awfully rusty but how about my old Porsche (a 1972 911RS). I was caught in a speed trap when I had just shifted out of 4th at 132 MPH. If memory serves me right that around 210 Km/h. What a sweet car that was.

On another note, I have picked up my TT. Got it Thursday evening and it's even more fun that I had hoped for. Unfortunately we've had some rain here so I've only had the top down twice so far but.... man is it great. Even with the top down and cruising at 75-80 mph my hat doesn't even move, much less get blown off my head.

I'm going to try to get some pictures of it this weekend and will post them here IF someone can walk me through posting the pictures here.

I finally borrowed our service department's digital camera and tried to take some pictures of the TT. Unfortunately, not being used to a digital camera and the associated LLOONNGG "shutter lag" (I'm used to my 35mm), parts of each picture are a little cut off. One of these days I'll get some real shots on my regular cameras.

I will try to post either the pictures or edit this and post a link.

Thanx, I love the car.

How could you guess?? Yes, I am a proud Democrat, I am a district leader in my city and am the Treasurer of my county's party. In my spare time I manage political campaigns and/or do political consulting for Democratic candidates. In fact right now I'
m managing the campaign for an insurgent candidate for the New York State Legislature.

I actually made sure that I included a picture of my license plate (and I've had this one for quite a few years now) just in case terrysalmi dropped in on this thread.
