Question

Just out of curiosity, since I would need an extra which adds to the cost, does the Prism use the same serial (for win nt) and/or USB cradles that the Visor Deluxe used?

Nope.

The connector is the same, but the bump on the back of the Prism is the cause for it not fitting the VDX cradle. In a pinch, I have taken apart the vdx cradle, removed the connector with the wire attached to it, and held it to my Prism to sync. If you had a hotsync cable, it should work on both visors, but not charge the Prism.

You will need another cradle.

If charging isn't an issue, you could buy the USB travel Hotsync cable for $15 (the one for the Visor/Visor Deluxe) so you can sync. Or see if you can find the Prism travel charger which is about $40.
