How do I use monkeymessenger or GMStool to compose and beam email messages to my Nokia 8290 through my Voicstream E-notes service which is already setup for sending and recieveing email. My IR link is working well and I can beam adresses from my visor to the phone's address book no problem, but tapping out emails on the keypads is a real hassle and I would love to do it on my VDX and beam it to the phone. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.\

Lightbulb a roundabout way

I was trying to do the same thing. Typing out emails on the phone keypad is painful.

Currently I'm using a program called "Fun SMS" which is similar to the SMS tools you're using. I tried using "121" which is my carrier's email number (instead of a regular phone number), but that didn't work.

The roundabout way I'm using is this:
1) send an SMS message to myself (with the email address and space before the text)
2) forward the message to "121"

There must be an easier way, but I haven't figured it out yet. At least this way it's easier to compose the message on the PDA instead of the phone keypad.

Let us know if you figure it out.
