Cool

I don't like the Prism specific cases available at HS.com. Does anyone have a source for the hard covers that fit the BACK of the Prism? I would like to get one to put into my existing case so I do not have to put velcro on my new Prism.

I've not seen or heard of any but it would seem to make sense to offer one for the purpose of using it with a case like you descibe.

Angry Call HS...

I called Handspring. I was planning on ordering a USB Cradle from them anyway and offered to buy the cover to be shipped with my cradle. After I explained what I was talking about (two or three times) to the CSR on the phone, she came back and said no way. I ordered my cradle from Amazon because they were offering free shipping. I also ordered the slim case ($25) and I will just remove it from that. I know $25 for a chunk of plastic is a lot of money. I am trying to convice myself that it is $25 for a new case and that is a good deal! Right!?

It also dawned on me that I could attach the standard cover to the back of the case and simply clip the Prism in face-down. While this design offers the best screen protection around, it is just not what I am looking for.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Thumbs down Slime-line case arrived

I ordered the Hadspring slimline case as it was the cheapest case with the much desired "extended reach" hard cover. When I recieved it I tried it out with my Prism to see if I might have any qualms about destroying it to get the cover out. First let me say that the quality of this product leaves quite a bit to be desired. The "pleather" is VERY fake looking and the closure is a (IMHO) VERY large piece of velco for the purpose. If you intend to actually use this case, I think it will be very loud to open regularly. To top it all off, while they included the longer hard cover, they did not change the dimentions of the "spine" of the case, so it does not close properly over the Prism.

This is VERY poor quality from Handspring. Boo...
