The Renewal battery by RayOVac is advertised as a rechageable alkaline. I have used these batteries in radios, and flashlights. They do recharge well but you can't let them fully discharge. A full discharge will weaken or kill them. They prefer, as the directions indicate, to be recharged frequently. Has anyone used them in the Visor? Thanks.

Thumbs up

I've used them for the past several months. I've noticed that the charge is shorter over a long period of time. I didn't try recharging everyday (as Rayovac seems to recommend).

Anyway, the batteries work great...and you're saving the environment and saving money too!

I've heard good things about the Rayovac NiMH batteries...a bit more expensive, but no memory effect.

VDx user....Yada Yada too

I dont share the same enthusiasm for the Rayavac rechargables. I was using them for several months but have now given up on them because the charge lasted significantly less than standard alkalines. If you dont mind frequent battery changes then you may save some extra money (only a little).

I've been using them for quite some time. Make sure you switch your battery mode to [rechargable alkaline] using the '.7' shortcut

I switch my batteries ever couple days. It took some time getting used to, and a set will prably give you about 5 days per charge, but I cycle between two pairs and hardly notice. It's cheap though, I was killing a set of normal alkalines every two to three weeks.
