Sprint wireless web is not an ISP...
The problem is that you will notice that there is not a modem in my list of equipment.

The modem resides not in the Visor or the phone, but on Sprint's hardware. You have to get special 'permission' in order to make a data call versus a voice call. Basically, you are sending your digital info all the way to Sprint before it becomes analog, goes across regular phone lines, and then arrives at your ISP's modem.

Now if you had an acoustic coupler, you could talk analog directly to the phone, but it would be really slow (2400 baud). I pondered this here:
