Question

Having used a Psion 3c for two years, the Palm OS is new for me. How would I use the Visor at the office, at my desk:
1 Looking at the Visor itself?
2 Using software on my PC?
If using the PC, is there some software included or am I forced to use Outlook or similar. Bear in mind the Psions agenda is one outstanding application, on of the best I've seen. Thanks for any input!
/Raymond

I use IIIx. I think the Visor software is more or less the same.

I use only the Palm organizer PC software and then do a 'sync' before I go home. PC is still a bit faster to use, at least for me. The only thing I use the Palm in the office is when I send a fax to get the number from the display.

I think using a PDA connected to the sync base is bot very practical.

If you're primary location is going to be the office (i.e. the hotsync cradle is at your office), then I'd probably just use the PC software. The Palm Desktop software that the Visor software is based on is a pretty nice little package. Not as advanced as Outlook, perhaps, but very fluid and functional. It has datebook, address book, memo pad and to do list.

So if you just need to take a couple of quick phone notes, I'd pull up the software on my PC, and just type it in. One thing, though, is that on the memos, you don't really give a memo a separate title... the first line of the each memo is displayed in a list format.

You can, however, use Outlook -- the software should come with a conduit that would allow you to select which apps you want to sync with Outlook, and which ones you wish to sync with Visor Software (in case you like Visor's Memo but Outlook's Datebook).

I used to use a Psion Series 5, and have really enjoyed the last couple of years with a Palm. And I like simply syncing the device without any particular Explorer-like interface.
