I just installed the Office 2000 Service Packs 1 and 2, and this morning I can't sync anymore. It freezes on the part that says "Synchronizing Mail". Also when it starts syncing the mail, Outlook comes up with a message saying "a program is trying to access your email addresses" and it gives you the option to allow access, which I do.

Anyone else has this problem? Did M$ purposely break compatibility?

I already uninstalled my Visor Platinum completely and reinstalled Palm Desktop, the problem is still there. I'm using Windows 2000 btw.

Angry Say no to SP2

I don't recommend MS Office SP2 simply because of the way it "fixes" Outlook. MS put some very draconian "protections" on Outlook (automatically blocks a lot of attachments) and it is not easy to reverse them. It is apparently MS answer to the big security holes in Outlook. I know of several companies that are not deploying SP2 for this very reason. My suggestion would be to uninstall Office 2000 and re-install it with SP1.
