Question

I am new to the PDA environment (new Handspring Visor owner), however I have been a PC junky for many many years. My question is, is there a program you can run on a PDA to test that all of the screen pixels are OK? I would imagine this could be tested with a black image exactly the size of the screen display, which would turn all of them on at once making it easy to identify a bad one.

The reason for this is I will never know I have a display problem if I have no way test it.

Thanks!

I think "mirror" would do this for you. I found 3 on Palmgear.

Red face

The program known as HandMirror would probably be the best LCD test for you, as it blackens out the entire screen. The URL below will take you to the PalmGear download page where you can snag the program. Or if the URL is broken for some reason, you can search for the program by name on http://www.palmgear.com. Enjoy your Visor !!!

PS-I just fired up HandMirror, it blackens the whole screen but there is a very thin gray border around the black box, if you see this I wouldn't worry as the program apparently puts in this border, just FYI.

Wink

Yup.. I suggest using the "mirror". I use the program once in a while to check the pixels. Not that I can see any reflections from the screen protector..
