You get the idea. CNNfn is fine, USA Today is fine. So, how do I get MapQuest to load? SHould I remove and reinstate?

Have already removed and reinstalled from Avantgo web site. But, after hot sync, get the same error message.
Oh, one other thing: Do I need to log on to the web, then log on to Avantgo anytime I update via hot sync, or is that automatic?

I'm not sure from your post if you tried this particular sequence, but I suggest you log on to the Avantgo site and click the little trash can next to MapQuest. Hotsync to see if Avantgo works correctly without MapQuest. If it does, try to reinstall MapQuest in Avantgo.
Properly configured, the Mobile Link software on your desktop should automatically update to the latest Avantgo pages every time you hot sync, without you needing to log on to Avantgo yourself. Well, at least with my Visor DX.
