I ordered a Memplug from palmgear on 3-18 and I still have yet to receive it!

Have you ordered one? Received it? Dates?

I order mine, when they first annouced to be on sale on palmgear, on 3/16. I received it on 3/22. I hope you guys received yours soon. It is a great device.

not that it matters much...been waiting a month for palmgear to get them in.

I don't even get status updates like everyone else does in email. I have to call them or check the web page myself.

Ordered mine the day it came out and received it a few days later. Good luck with PalmGear. I have heard some bad things about them but all of my experiences have been top notch.

I ordered one the day they were first available on PalmGear (3/16 I think), and it arrived Tuesday or Wednesday of the next week. I didn't pay for any special shipping. I noticed that by Monday the 19th, PalmGear said they were backordered on their site. If you ordered on the 22, I'm sure yours was backordered at that time.

However, when I checked their site a couple weeks ago, it gave no indication that MemPlugs were still on backorder. Have you received any follow up information from PalmGear on your order? Perhaps it just didn't go through correctly or something.

I just checked PalmGear's site to see if it's listed as backordered or not right now, and they're having ColdFusion difficulties again, so that area of their site is unaccessible.

I ordered on the 18th... I have called numerous times and everytime it is the same answer... "They are having difficulties in production. They are backordered and we do not have a date."

I have read posts to other discussions that led me to believe that others that have ordered after me have received their's. That was the purpose of the original post to see if this was the case.

they originally went on backorder the day i ordered mine. it's been over a month now. they keep bumping the due date, so i have no idea when they will actually ship. i asked memplug and they said next week definitely, but that's what i was told a couple of weeks ago.

When I ordered mine they went on backorder, but luckily I was in the next batch which supposedly arrived that weekend. I payed second day shipping on Friday & got it Wednesday which ticked me off, I e-mailed PalmGear and they came up with the lame of excuse of backorder (Which no one told me about when I ordered it!) and avoided the issue of refunding even a portion of the shipping costs. It lucky they got it to me Wednesday, the next day I left on a trip...

PalmGear really stinks hardware wise, hopefully Amazon will carry the MemPlug soon.

I am also still waiting. Given the delay, I am thinking about canceling the order. I have been reading the comparisons in regards to speed between the CF adapters and the memplug.

I already have a matchbookdrive, a backup module and I believe at some point I will be able to upgrade the software to automove the files. The only thing missing is a jpg viewer for smartmedia.

(I understand the Pretec Electronics CF to SM adapter works in my matchbookdrive.)

PS Kopsis and Matchbookdrive are amazingly responsive to their discussion forums. On the other hand, I have not seen any feedback from the manufacture of the memplug about the production problems/delays. (Memplug is answering tech support questions in their discussion forum.)

Heck, they're even responsive to this discussion forum! I just got my CF card yesterday, and I've already filled up half of it with maps and ebooks. I love this thing!

I doubt you're going to get any software than can read the cf card directly, (but please prove me wrong!). Looks like memplug beats cf in that regard. But.. CF is not vaporware either!
