Homebrew FlashAdapter
Hey, I just built one of those Kopsis Engineering FlashAdapter's, and I found a better way to do this on a SanDisk CF reader. I used a small screwdriver, and I applied heat to the pin that needed to be disconnected, and once the solder melted, I pryed up, and that pin was disconnected. I repeated this on all other pins needing removed (7, 41, 43, 44, 46) I then bent all the pin needing remove to a 90 angle, and trimmed back pin 41, 43, and 46, and I put 7 and 44 back into a 45 angle. I then followed the wireing instructions being careful to not get solder on any other pins. After I did all this, I used electrical tape to tape below the trimmed pins to make sure they never touch again, and I taped the Springboard side of it. Now, I just have to buy a compatable CF card, a module housing, and get my Visor Deluxe in the mail (it should be here tommorow).
Do you think it would be possible to convert a Linksys 802.11B PCMCIA adapter to Springboard? I imagine that it would be the same, just needing an outside powersource.
