Homebrew FlashAdapter

Hey, I just built one of those Kopsis Engineering FlashAdapter's, and I found a better way to do this on a SanDisk CF reader. I used a small screwdriver, and I applied heat to the pin that needed to be disconnected, and once the solder melted, I pryed up, and that pin was disconnected. I repeated this on all other pins needing removed (7, 41, 43, 44, 46) I then bent all the pin needing remove to a 90� angle, and trimmed back pin 41, 43, and 46, and I put 7 and 44 back into a 45� angle. I then followed the wireing instructions being careful to not get solder on any other pins. After I did all this, I used electrical tape to tape below the trimmed pins to make sure they never touch again, and I taped the Springboard side of it. Now, I just have to buy a compatable CF card, a module housing, and get my Visor Deluxe in the mail (it should be here tommorow).

Do you think it would be possible to convert a Linksys 802.11B PCMCIA adapter to Springboard? I imagine that it would be the same, just needing an outside powersource.

Ok, I got my Ice Visor Deluxe in the mail today. Amazing what a Pong unit can get you. My friend (also who I traded with) told me he'd give me the board of his other Visor Deluxe if I fry this one. I don't have a Springboard Plastic Modlue to put it in. What would be the worst case scenario if I did something wrong (I've checked it a lot to see if I messed up, and it seems I didn't)?

I've been thinking about using this one for awhile before using the CF adapter. What a nice upgrade to my old M100. Thats a HUGE screen compared to the M100. Thanks!
