What are people's experiences with the refurbed replacements? My Prism has a bad pixel and a "crack" in the paint in the back.

I'm mainly worried that the replacement will be "worse" than what I have now.

I've received a replacement Palm V and a replacement VDX. I also broke the screen of my replacement VDX, paid the $85, and received a unit which was either new or a refurb.

Frankly, other than the Palm V's OS being upgraded, I couldn't tell the difference between a mint-new machine and a replacement unit.

I say go for it.

Yes...

I just received a refurb after my Platinum went wacky on the left side of the screen. First of all, I was AMAZED that it was at my door by 11am the day after I called Handspring. Secondly, I can't tell the difference. It looks and works like it's brand new. I second heberman and say Go for it!
